Just eight weeks after welcoming her second child, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt returned to the public stage alongside President Donald Trump — and many people online were surprised by how she looked.
Since stepping into the national spotlight, the 28-year-old has become one of the most recognized figures in the administration.
Leavitt made her first major public appearance after giving birth to her daughter, Viviana “Vivi” Riccio, on May 1. She was seen arriving in Reading, Pennsylvania, on June 23, while accompanying the president during a visit to a Mack Trucks facility. However, instead of focusing only on the event, social media quickly turned its attention toward Leavitt.
Many commenters praised her appearance and expressed disbelief at how quickly she seemed to recover after pregnancy.
“She doesn’t look like she just had a baby. Amazing,” one person wrote.
Another added, “She looks incredible! Love her!”

A third commented, “Looking better than ever 😍.”
Leavitt appeared in a cropped beige blazer over a white top, paired with black pants and a matching tote bag as she greeted photographers after stepping off Air Force One. The appearance marked her return to work following maternity leave.
The reaction continued across social media, with supporters saying they were happy to see her back.
“She looks great too!” one commenter wrote.
Others shared messages such as, “She is amazing! Glad she’s back!” and “She looks wonderful!”
The strong response came during a time when public figures often receive mixed reactions online.
Leavitt and her husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, are now parents to two children: newborn daughter Viviana and son Nicholas “Niko” Robert Riccio.
Shortly after Vivi’s birth, Leavitt shared the first family photo on Instagram, writing that their hearts were filled with love.
“On May 1st, Viviana aka ‘Vivi’ joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love,” she wrote.
She said her daughter was healthy and that big brother Niko was already adapting to being a sibling.
“We are enjoying every moment in our blissful newborn bubble,” Leavitt shared, while thanking followers for their support during her pregnancy.
The post quickly gained attention, with many followers congratulating the family and commenting on how well she appeared after giving birth.
Leavitt has also spoken openly about the challenges of balancing motherhood with one of the most demanding roles in American politics.
After becoming the youngest White House press secretary in history following President Trump’s 2024 election victory, she has often said that motherhood remains one of her greatest blessings.
“There is no greater blessing than motherhood,” she previously wrote.

She has also admitted that returning to work after having a child can be emotionally difficult.
“Leaving the baby every day to go to work… it’s incredibly challenging emotionally, physically, spiritually,” she said.
Still, Leavitt explained that she chose to continue serving and relied on support from her husband, family, and friends.
While she was on maternity leave, other senior administration officials stepped in to handle White House briefings.
Now back in the spotlight just weeks after giving birth, Leavitt’s return has sparked a wave of reactions online, with many people praising both her appearance and her ability to balance motherhood with a high-profile career.
