Jeffrey Epstein’s Final Prison Visitor Has Been Revealed

Jeffrey Epstein’s final days behind bars have remained the subject of intense public interest and unanswered questions. Epstein, 66, was arrested in July 2019 on federal sex-trafficking charges involving underage girls and was held at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Correctional Center while awaiting trial. On August 10, 2019, he was found dead inside his cell. His death was officially ruled a suicide, although it has continued to generate widespread speculation and conspiracy theories.

According to prison records obtained by the Daily Mail, Karyna Shuliak, a Belarusian-born dentist who had been described as Epstein’s girlfriend, visited him at the Metropolitan Correctional Center on July 30—just 11 days before his death.

The records reportedly indicate that Shuliak was the only personal visitor Epstein received during his time in custody. His other recorded visitors were lawyers.

The visit also shed further light on the relationship between the two. A source previously described Epstein and Shuliak, who were reportedly together for several years, as being in a “very serious relationship.”

Shuliak had also been identified as the woman Epstein spoke with by phone on August 9, just one day before his death. According to a source familiar with the circumstances, Epstein was particularly eager to take the call and asked his attorneys to leave the room.

The source said the lawyers had to leave because Epstein needed to use the phone before his allotted calling window ended, causing the meeting to come to an abrupt conclusion.

What Epstein and Shuliak discussed during that final phone conversation has never been publicly revealed. However, reports at the time indicated that Shuliak did not believe Epstein was suicidal after speaking with him.

The following morning, prison guards discovered Epstein hanging inside his cell during a routine check.

Shuliak’s reported relationship with Epstein dated back several years. Photographs showed the pair together as early as 2014, and reports indicated that their relationship continued despite Epstein’s connections with other women.

Born in Belarus, Shuliak was believed to have moved to the United States in 2009 and later worked as a dentist. Reports also alleged that Epstein helped cover medical treatment for her mother and may have provided financial assistance to members of her family.

She was reportedly photographed with Epstein and people from his inner circle on several occasions, including at his New York mansion. Public records also connected her to properties associated with Epstein.

The prison records revealing her July 30 visit were reportedly obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request covering thousands of pages of documents concerning Epstein’s time in federal custody.

Although authorities ultimately determined that Epstein died by suicide, the circumstances surrounding his death have continued to attract enormous public attention, leaving many questions and theories surrounding his final days behind bars.
