Morgan Freeman is one of Hollywood’s most beloved actors — and even as he gets older, he has no plans to slow down. The legendary actor has been remarkably honest about what keeps him accepting new roles, even when a script may not be perfect.

“If somebody offers you a job, it’s very nice if they’re offering you also an exciting script,” Freeman told The New York Times.

However, he admitted that other factors can come into play — including the paycheck. And his attitude toward work is refreshingly simple.

“So, keep working,” Freeman said. “If you can get out of bed and don’t fall down when you do it, then you just count your blessings and keep moving.”

He added that he plans to work “as long as somebody says, ‘Do you want to do this part?’”

That sounds like Morgan Freeman

😅

And then, in typical Freeman fashion, he made us all laugh.

“I’m pushing 90 now,” he joked. “So, the roles that I wished I had been able to play, Denzel Washington will play.”

At an age when many people would have retired long ago, Freeman is still showing up and doing what he loves. Hopefully, we get to see him on screen for many more years.
