Richie reportedly checked himself into the hospital as a precaution after becoming ill during a performance in St. Louis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 77-year-old singer is currently touring with Earth, Wind & Fire. During a performance of his iconic hit \u201cAll Night Long,\u201d Richie asked for a chair and sat down while onstage. Following the performance, he went to the hospital to get checked out and make sure there were no serious concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TMZ later reported that Richie underwent cardiac testing after being admitted, while doctors also investigated possible dehydration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans were particularly worried about the legendary singer because this latest incident comes after another health scare earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In June, Richie was performing in Minnesota when he unexpectedly stopped the concert about an hour after it began. The audience waited roughly 40 minutes before a member of his band came onstage and announced that Richie would not be returning for the remainder of the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in that performance, Richie had told the crowd that he was feeling dizzy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen you\u2019re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down,\u201d Richie said, according to a video recorded by an audience member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
