I parked my Harley-Davidson Road King nearly half a mile from the church, behind a Dollar General, because my daughter had made one request very clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She didn\u2019t want motorcycles in her wedding pictures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And, more importantly, she didn\u2019t want anyone thinking her father was \u201cone of those biker guys.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I left my bike behind the store, changed into the dress shoes that were already rubbing my heels raw, and walked the rest of the way to the church alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I told myself I was doing it because I loved her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That was the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But there was another truth I didn\u2019t want to admit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
