The series first premiered in 2019 and went on to produce <strong>more than 1,200 episodes<\/strong>, earning an impressive <strong>22 Daytime Emmy Awards<\/strong> along the way. Kelly herself took home four of those awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>American Idol<\/em> alum explained that stepping away from the daily talk-show schedule would give her more time to focus on her children. In a statement shared online, she wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThis season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn\u2019t goodbye. Speaking with <em>PEOPLE<\/em>, executive producer Alex Duda opened up about how they wanted to bring the beloved daytime show to an emotional close. She explained:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWe just tried to make it be a celebration, especially that last episode, tried to make that be for the fans and help them help us say goodbye.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who missed the finale, the episode will be available to stream on Peacock beginning Friday, September 4. <strong>Here are some of the biggest highlights from the series finale of <em>The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kelly\u2019s Kids Join Her On Set<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The final episode celebrated the cast, crew, guests, and fans who helped make <em>The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/em> such a memorable part of daytime television. Among those special guests were Kelly\u2019s two children, River Rose, 12, and Remington Alexander, 10, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The proud mother reflected on just how much her children have grown since the show first premiered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cThey\u2019re the greatest kids in the world. When we started, River was in kindergarten. She\u2019s now about to be in middle school, crazy. Remy picked two special moments: meeting Jason Momoa and singing \u201cMy Way\u201d with the band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">River, meanwhile, gave her mom an especially touching compliment, telling her, <em>\u201cI like watching you shine every single day.\u201d<\/em> Her sweet words brought an immediate wave of \u201cawws\u201d from the audience and left Kelly visibly emotional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cI\u2019d Be Lyin\u2019\u201d Television Debut<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kelly Clarkson released her latest single, \u201cI\u2019d Be Lyin\u2019,\u201d on July 17.
