The University of Tennessee Volunteers opened their 2026 season at home on Saturday, September 5, with a matchup against the Furman Paladins. The game was also a special occasion as the university paid tribute to one of Tennessee’s most beloved and iconic stars, Dolly Parton.
Throughout the game, Dolly was honored in a memorable way, with Tennessee players proudly wearing helmet decals featuring her name.
The university also introduced a special Dolly Parton karaoke camera, giving fans in the stadium the chance to join in and sing along to some of the country music legend’s most beloved and recognizable songs.
