On Saturday, September 5, the couple revealed that their sweet dog Betty had passed away after spending 18 wonderful years with their family.
Blake and Gwen began dating in 2015 and married in 2021, meaning Betty had been a part of their lives even before their relationship began.
“It’s with the heaviest hearts that we share our sweet Betty has gone to heaven 💔🕊️🐾,” Gwen shared in an emotional Instagram post.
The 56-year-old singer accompanied the announcement with a touching collection of photos and videos celebrating Betty’s life. The black-and-tan pup was captured sharing special moments with Blake and their youngest son, Apollo, while also enjoying plenty of freedom around the couple’s ranch in Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
“She made us all smile for 18 years… we’re going to miss her forever. Thank u Betty for all the love + joy u brought into our lives,” Gwen wrote.
The heartfelt slideshow included even more precious memories, including Gwen spending time with Betty while rehearsing onstage with her band. Other photos showed the beloved hound relaxing in the sunshine and enjoying a special treat from Blake in the kitchen.
After 18 years of companionship, Betty clearly left behind countless memories for the Shelton-Stefani family. Her presence was a cherished part of their lives, and she will undoubtedly be missed for years to come.
