Hannah Harper is encouraging fans to slow down and enjoy life with her latest song, “Hold Your Horses.”
The country singer released the new track on Friday, September 4, along with an accompanying music video.
“Hold Your Horses” marks Harper’s second musical release since she won American Idol in May. Earlier this summer, she released “Married Into This Town,” a heartfelt tribute to her husband, Devon, and his hometown of Willow Springs, Missouri, which has now become home for Hannah as well.
Harper originally performed “Married Into This Town” live during the American Idol series finale. After fans quickly connected with the song and encouraged her to make it available on streaming platforms, she decided to officially release it.
She also followed the release with an official visualizer for the track, giving fans a glimpse into her life with Devon. The video includes several sweet moments of the couple together on their property in Willow Springs.
With “Hold Your Horses” now out, Harper is continuing to build on the momentum from her American Idol victory while sharing music that reflects both her personality and her life away from the spotlight.
“Hold Your Horses” follows Hannah Harper’s previous release, “Married Into This Town,” and her husband, Devon, also makes an appearance in the song’s music video.
Hannah first began teasing the new song at the start of August, sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse from a photoshoot.
Not long after, she gave fans a brief preview of the upcoming video. In the first clip, Devon walks into a cabin, takes Hannah by the hand, and spins her around.
