After seven successful seasons, the award-winning The Kelly Clarkson Show has officially aired its final episode.
Global superstar Kelly Clarkson announced in February that her popular daytime talk show would be coming to an end. The series first premiered in 2019 and went on to produce more than 1,200 episodes, earning an impressive 22 Daytime Emmy Awards along the way. Kelly herself took home four of those awards for Outstanding Talk Show Host and Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host.
The American Idol alum explained that stepping away from the daily talk-show schedule would give her more time to focus on her children. In a statement shared online, she wrote:
“This season will be my last hosting TKCS. Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives. This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on The Voice from time to time…you never know where I might show up next.”

Highlights From The Final Episode Of The Kelly Clarkson Show
On Monday, August 31, the final episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show officially aired. Speaking with PEOPLE, executive producer Alex Duda opened up about how they wanted to bring the beloved daytime show to an emotional close. She explained:
“We just tried to make it be a celebration, especially that last episode, tried to make that be for the fans and help them help us say goodbye.”

Kelly’s Kids Join Her On Set
The final episode celebrated the cast, crew, guests, and fans who helped make The Kelly Clarkson Show such a memorable part of daytime television. Among those special guests were Kelly’s two children, River Rose, 12, and Remington Alexander, 10, whom she shares with her late ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
The proud mother reflected on just how much her children have grown since the show first premiered.
“They’re the greatest kids in the world. When we started, River was in kindergarten. She’s now about to be in middle school, crazy. My son Remington, he had his singing debut on stage with the band.”
Both River and Remy also shared some of their favorite memories from the show over the years. Remy picked two special moments: meeting Jason Momoa and singing “My Way” with the band.
River, meanwhile, gave her mom an especially touching compliment, telling her, “I like watching you shine every single day.” Her sweet words brought an immediate wave of “awws” from the audience and left Kelly visibly emotional.
“I’d Be Lyin’” Television Debut
Kelly Clarkson released her latest single, “I’d Be Lyin’,” on July 17. Although she has already performed the song during her “Studio Sessions” Las Vegas residency, the finale marked the first time she performed it for a national television audience.
The song served as the final performance of the episode, giving the show an energetic and memorable farewell.
