On August 29, actress Millie Bobby Brown modeled a matching spandex outfit while promoting her Florence by Mills Fashion brand. Rather than focusing on the clothing, however, some viewers quickly shifted their attention to Brown’s appearance, with several saying she looked noticeably thinner.
One person wrote, “I’ve always loved Millie for her personality and representation of real women — bit disappointed to see she is getting so thin. Hope she is staying healthy!” Another added, “She’s way too thin, oh my God, what is going on with Hollywood?”
Brown appeared in a matching mulberry-colored spandex set featuring a cropped sleeveless top and coordinating leggings as she talked about the outfit in an Instagram video.
The actress said she was “in love” with the color and called the outfit “so cute for fall.”
Although the post was clearly created to highlight the new clothing collection, some viewers instead began comparing Brown’s figure with how she has appeared in earlier photos.
Several commenters said they felt her arms, waist, and legs looked slimmer.
One person asked, “Why is she getting skinnier and skinnier?”
Some viewers defended Millie Bobby Brown and said people were overanalyzing her appearance
Not everyone agreed that Brown’s appearance was something to be concerned about. Some commenters pushed back against the criticism and suggested that people were making assumptions based on photos and video.
One person wrote, “The comments are screaming insecurity.”
Another defended Brown, saying, “Guys, she looks healthy. She looks toned or like she is working out or running. It’s not skinny enough to be worried about. Y’all need to chill.”
