Dolly Parton’s Family Confirms The Country Legend Died At 80
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, a statement shared by Dolly Parton’s family confirmed that the beloved country music superstar had died at the age of 80.
A video message was posted on Dolly’s social media accounts, with her nephew, Bryan Seaver, speaking on behalf of the family.
“This video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago, before I fully understood it as a future reality,” Seaver said. “As her head of security for more than two decades, a position my father Larry held before me, I have imagined the weight of this moment, but I haven’t truly felt it until now. It is an honor, an honor mixed with immense pride and deep sadness.”
