Fans have been digging up old photos of Lin Lamar, the 23-year-old content creator better known online as Pinkchyu, after she became Drake’s final pick during his “20 v 1” speed-dating challenge on August 8.
The 39-year-old rapper was introduced to a lineup of women competing for his attention, but Lamar ultimately stood out from the crowd — and some fans now believe she may have been almost exactly what Drake described as his ideal woman nearly a year earlier.
Drake’s dream ‘goth baddie’
During a September 2025 interview with Bobbi Althoff, Drake was asked what kind of woman he could see himself settling down with.
His answer was unusually specific.
He described being attracted to a heavily tattooed, alternative-looking woman and said he felt his “destiny” was to end up with a “goth baddie.” He also said he wanted someone who was funny and had a distinctive appearance.
At the time, Drake admitted that finding someone who matched his preferences had not been easy and joked that he was “the opposite of what they want.”
Nearly a year later, Lamar appeared on his dating challenge dressed in a dramatic goth-inspired look — complete with black latex and a choker.

‘Would you bark for me?’
During their conversation, Lamar asked Drake whether he was interested in roleplay.
The rapper told her that if she looked him directly in the eyes and told him to do something, he would.
Lamar then put that confidence to the test.
“Would you bark for me?” she asked.
Drake played along, barking for his date before she responded with a simple, “Good boy.”
The moment quickly went viral online and became one of the most talked-about exchanges from the challenge.
Lamar eventually beat out the other contestants, including influencers Lena the Plug, Lily Phillips, Jordyn Lucas and Plush, to become Drake’s final choice.
Afterward, she shared a photo with the rapper and celebrated the result, writing: “I’m the goth baddie.”
But the dating challenge came with another unexpected twist.
Drake offers to buy her mother a house
After choosing Lamar, Drake told her she could “pick anything in the world” and said he would buy it for her.
Before he could finish explaining that she didn’t have to make a decision immediately, Lamar asked if he could buy her mother a house.
Drake quickly agreed.
“I’d love to. Sure,” he replied, later jokingly referring to Lamar’s mother as his “mother-in-law.”
The exchange prompted a hug between the two, while Lamar continued to playfully embrace their unexpected connection online.
“Can you blame him for being into nerdy goth girls like me?” she later wrote on X.
Despite the chemistry between them, however, Lamar admitted that she was not exactly a longtime Drake superfan.
‘I just remember you from Degrassi’
Lamar later revealed that her musical tastes are far removed from Drake’s hip-hop background.
According to TMZ, she told Drake that she mostly knew him from his role as Jimmy Brooks on the Canadian teen drama Degrassi.
“I just remember you from Degrassi,” she reportedly told him.
She explained that while she knew some of his biggest songs, her own musical interests were much more focused on goth and metal.
“I listen to goth music and metal,” she said, adding that she grew up playing guitar and violin and had performed in bands.
“This is funny, we’re complete opposites,” she added.
As their unlikely pairing continued to attract attention online, fans began looking more closely at Lamar herself — including photos from before she became known for her current goth aesthetic.
Old photos spark a debate online
Older photos said to show Lamar before her transformation have resurfaced across social media.
The images show her with a noticeably different style, including shorter curly hair and a much more understated appearance with minimal makeup.
The contrast quickly became a topic of discussion, with some social media users claiming that she looked dramatically different before adopting her current appearance.
One commenter criticized her transformation, while others defended Lamar and suggested that changes in makeup, styling and weight could account for much of the difference.
Another user summed up the debate by arguing that looking different in older photos did not change the fact that she now embraces her goth-inspired appearance.
‘We just had a lot of conversations’
Despite all the speculation surrounding the pair, Lamar has denied that she and Drake hooked up after the dating show.
When TMZ asked whether anything romantic had happened between them afterward, she reportedly replied, “No, no, no. We just had a lot of conversations.”
She also suggested that Drake still intends to follow through on his offer to purchase a house for her mother, who she said was “over the moon” about the possibility.
According to Lamar, the next step is simply choosing the property before Drake takes care of the payment.
For now, the unexpected pairing has left fans wondering whether Drake may have finally found the “goth baddie” he once described — or whether their connection was simply the result of an entertaining speed-dating challenge.
