A community is mourning the devastating loss of a young married couple whose lives were tragically cut short just weeks after celebrating their wedding.
Adam Hencek, 23, and Tomas Feuller, 25, a Slovakian couple living in Carrick-on-Suir, Ireland, died only three days apart. Adam passed away at home on June 2, while Tomas died on June 5, according to a GoFundMe campaign organized by Adam’s aunt, Mirka Kohutovičová.

The fundraiser was created to help cover funeral and cremation expenses for the couple. Support from friends, family, and members of the community was overwhelming, with donations reaching the €12,000 goal in less than 24 hours.
As news of the tragedy spread, heartfelt tributes flooded social media, with many remembering Adam and Tomas for their kindness, warmth, and the love they shared.
According to reports, the couple was laid to rest together. They were first placed side by side for a public viewing at Condons Funeral Parlour in Clonmel before being taken to the Island Crematorium in Cork, where a private cremation ceremony was held.
One friend, Josephine, shared an emotional message in memory of Adam, describing him as a bright light who touched the lives of everyone around him.
Others remembered Adam as a talented piano teacher, a gentleman, and someone who always brought positivity wherever he went. Friends who knew both men spoke about their infectious energy and the deep bond they shared.
Many expressed their sorrow that two young men, full of life and with so much ahead of them, were taken far too soon. Supporters offered condolences to both families and encouraged them to find comfort in the memories they created together.
One particularly moving tribute summed up the feelings of many:
“Such a heartbreaking tragedy. Two young men, newly married and deeply in love, gone far too soon. Together in life, together in heaven.”
Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of donors, the fundraiser successfully covered the costs of giving Adam and Tomas a dignified farewell, ensuring they could be laid to rest together — just as they had shared their lives together.
