Anna Faris is back as Cindy Campbell in Scary Movie 6, but not every joke made it into the final cut. In a recent interview, the actress revealed that one particular joke aimed at First Lady Melania Trump was ultimately removed from the film.
The Scary Movie franchise has remained a fan favorite since the original movie premiered in 2000. While it never earned major awards, the parody series has achieved cult-classic status and continues to entertain audiences decades later.
Faris, who launched her Hollywood career with the franchise at just 23 years old, recently attended the premiere of Scary Movie 6. During an interview with Dexerto, she shared details about a deleted scene involving Melania Trump’s “Be Best” campaign.
According to Faris, she envisioned Cindy falling into what she described as a “classic MAGA rabbit hole” in the horror-comedy sequel.

“I imagined the type of person you might have seen outside Walmart during quarantine, creating some kind of outrageous scene,” Faris explained.
She went on to describe a moment in which Cindy becomes heavily intoxicated, sits in her truck, looks into the rearview mirror, and says to herself, “Be best, Cindy Campbell. Be best.”
Although Faris enjoyed the joke and thought it was a clever nod to Melania Trump’s initiative, the scene was ultimately cut from the movie.
Reflecting on her role, Faris said she has always embraced the franchise’s provocative humor.
“You can’t really be upset with Cindy,” she said. “I’m starring in what is probably one of the most offensive movie franchises ever made. The character gets away with a lot, and that freedom is part of the fun.”
Released on June 5, Scary Movie 6 debuted at the top of the box office, earning an estimated $55 million domestically during its opening weekend.
Whether Melania Trump has seen the film—or would appreciate the joke—remains anyone’s guess.
