Born on July 6, 1946, in a charity hospital in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, his life began under difficult circumstances. A complication during birth caused nerve damage to the left side of his face, leaving him with partial paralysis and a slurred way of speaking — something that would shape both his struggles and his identity.
His early years were far from easy. Growing up in a broken and unstable household, Stallone experienced constant conflict between his parents, Frank Stallone Sr. and Jackie Stallone. After their divorce, he and his brother often felt unwanted, moving between places and facing both emotional and physical hardship. At school, he was frequently bullied because of his speech and appearance, making him feel like an outsider.
But something inside him refused to give up.
After relocating to Philadelphia, he found direction through bodybuilding and acting. He briefly attended the University of Miami, but left to pursue his dream in New York.
